Annual Technical Seminar Organized by Saudi Arabia (IEP-SAC)

Riyadh (from Waqar Naseem Wameq) Annual Technical Seminar organized by the Institution of Engineers Saudi Arabia Center (IEP-SAC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia In which Engineer Muhammad Ijaz Omar gave a presentation on the Future of Hydrogen as an Alternative Fuel for Combined Cycle Power Plants.

Ejaz Omar, who is serving as Vice President at Acwa Power, explained in his presentation how the world’s major economies are using hydrogen gas as an alternative fuel in power plants to reduce environmental pollution. If hydrogen gas is mixed with mineral gas in a certain proportion, carbon dioxide emissions can be greatly reduced and the environment can be protected from its harmful effects. To what extent can this modern technology play a positive role in global warming which has become the biggest problem in the world.

Corona SOP’s led to a large number of participants online, including overseas participants, while a limited number of attendees attended the seminar directly at the hotel.

The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. The special guest of the ceremony was Muhammad Fayyaz Khan, First Secretary, Embassy of Pakistan.
Seminar Convener Engineer Dr. Rafiq Chaudhry welcomed the special guest and introduced the main speaker of the seminar Engineer Muhammad Ijaz Omar.
On this occasion, General Secretary of IEP-SAC, Engineer Asim Siddiqui briefed the participants about the activities of the Center.

The activities report of the eastern region of the center was presented online. Chairman Scholarship Committee Engineer Farooq Iqbal presented the scholarship report. He said that IEP-SAC has been distributing 96 scholarships in 12 public sector universities of Pakistan for the last 25 years.
Guest of Honor First Secretary Embassy of Pakistan Muhammad Fayyaz Khan in his speech appreciated IEP-SAC’s special scholarship scheme for Pakistani engineering universities and the services it is rendering to the Pakistani engineer’s community-based in Saudi Arabia. And assured the cooperation of the embassy in every field.

The guest of honor also unveiled a new issue of the annual technical journal (IEP-SAC) and stressed the importance of maintaining the high quality of the journal.
IEP-SAC Chairman Engineer Syed Muhammad Iqbal in his speech congratulated the Events Committee for organizing a successful seminar and assured to continue such programs. He thanked the Saudi Government and the Embassy of Pakistan. Thank you for your cooperation on every occasion. In the end, the special guest presented an honorary shield to the speaker of the seminar, Engineer Muhammad Ijaz Omar. In addition, certificates were awarded to all authors who wrote articles in the latest issue of the Technical Journal, while Engineer Syed Kirmani, a longtime council member of the Center, was awarded the Honorary Shield for Outstanding Performance in Writing Articles in the Annual Journal every year for nearly 25 years. Presented.
The event concluded with a group photo and a commemorative shield for the special guest which was presented to him by Engineer Syed Muhammad Iqbal, Chairman, IEP-SAC.

The seminar ended with dinner with the participants.
