Kathmandu

Another location in Nepal where time seems to standstill. Panauti is a lovely community with a population of over 10,000 people that is rich in history and culture. It is located at the confluence of the holy rivers Roshi Khola and Pungamati Khola, making the town a spiritual destination in and of itself.
The tranquil town is home to various old temples, and seeing them at dusk and in the morning provides for a magnificent experience that transports Panauti far away from the hectic streets of neighbouring Kathmandu. Every year, pilgrims go to Panauti for the holy Magh Sankranti ceremony, when they wash at the confluence of the two sacred rivers.
